Limes in Naarden

I think hubby and I may have found a new favorite restaurant. A place we have talked about ever since we floated out its door after a lunch that will forever stay etched in our memory. A bit poetic for a restaurant? Well, perhaps after a visit you'll feel the same way.
I loved the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, the soft jazz playing in the background, the thick wooden tables and fine cutlery, the beautifully styled interior with its Old World charm, the excellent wine list, fabulous service, but most of all -- the amazing food!
Limes is inspired by the French kitchen and offers a simple menu which changes every two weeks and is written on a chalkboard. The main meal can be complemented with a few sides of your choice, and there's plenty to choose from. Of course there are also lovely starters and even lovelier desserts.
We started with the game terrine with fig chutney. After that, I had the venison steak (perfectly cooked!) with celeriac-potato mash and stewed red cabbage. Hubby choose the Flemish game stew with celeriac-potato mash and brussels sprouts. For dessert, I had the most perfect creme brulee!
In every dish, you could taste passion. All the food is freshly made with top quality seasonal products.
I am already dreaming of going back. It won't be long...
