Black Sausage with Pan-Fried Apple

Here's an easy autumn recipe. Perfect for a quick lunch, but not for picky eaters or vegetarians!
Make sure you have the best black sausage possible. I bought mine at my favorite butcher in Hilversum. A good, firm, slightly tart apple is also essential. Mine came straight from the garden!

Black Sausage with Pan-Fried Apple
Serves 1

1 knob of butter
1 slice of black sausage
3 slices of apple
Fresh green salad

Melt the butter in a pan. Cook the sausage 3 minutes a side on medium heat. When you flip it, add the apple slices, browning them well on both sides. Serve the sausage with the apple slices and a little green salad dressed with a mild vinaigrette.
