How I Love To Work Hard!

Things have been busy lately. I spend my days dreaming up recipes, testing them, writing, answering emails about food, meeting up with interesting people, writing some more and eating. I adore my work but this jam-packed schedule of mine has pretty much forced me to live on quick meals these days- and man am I enjoying it!
Just look at my beautiful couscous salad made with grilled asparagus, a few tablespoons of capers, a handful or two of cherry tomatoes, some chopped parsley and a lemony vinaigrette. I threw it together in a matter of minutes! The salad was served with smoked, peppered mackerel and the meal was accompanied by a glass or two of white wine. Working hard never tasted so good!

Besos

Paola, I am so glad that things are happening for you! How did the interviews go? I guess really well (as for your status on FB), tell, please!

Hi Jen! Thanks! It was so simple and so delicious!

Hola TS! Que bueno verte por aqui. Por aqui tambien esta el clima un poco raro. Hay dias super bonitos y otros bien frios y lluviosos! Pero desde que salga el sol lo disfruto!
Abrazos!

Hi Maryann! Isn't it great how summer eating can be so easy?? :)

Hi Beatriz! Well things are happening indeed! I had two meetings with editors this week- one very succesful and one where I felt like I had to defend my passion for food and eating well to two guys who very obviously weren't foodies. It was rather disappointing in the end. Ah well! The second meeting was great. I met a wonderful lady, the editor of one of the bigger food magazines here in The NL and it looks like something very exciting will be happening in the near future! But I'll leave that a surprise! ;)

I love the sound of that meal. Know what you mean about hard work, all the writing and testing is so much harder than a lot of people reckon.

Hi Paola,
Just wanted to say that I made bunuelos and natilla, well, my version anyway. My Columbian friend considers it a success, so I'll be blogging about it soon. Thanks again for your help!

It's not as easy as it sounds George...but it's also great fun!

Hi Nora! Thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing your bunuelos! You're a better woman than me! Maybe this will encourage me to lose the packs come Christmas! ;)
